Lucky Mathonsi Security Service provides trained and well-presented security officers who main function & to protect property, assets of people These officers are registered and graded in terms of PSIRA’s regulations. The officers are generally uniformed and protect property by maintaining a high visibility presence, observing and taking action on any incidents.

Our guards are treated with respect and fairness We have an incentive program which give guards the opportunity to get rewarded for any outstanding work performed.

Purpose & Use of 

Security Dogs

Worldwide statistics show that security dogs are utilized, criminal incidents have been reduced considerably Security dogs are still used extensively, in times when the trend has moved towards computerized of electronic security The reason being that they are a cheap efficient form of security, in combating costs and spiraling crime.

THE PURPOSES AND ADVANTAGES OF A SECURITY DOGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. To act as a deterrent

It’s common knowledge in all population groups that dogs bite many people, who have been mauled by a dog, have a lifelong fear of dogs.


Canine teeth are covered in bacteria, and those who have witnessed the suffering of an infected dog bite, will bear the witness that dogs can inflict severe pain and suffering. The press and television are also responsible for giving the dog “bad publicity” in cases of pet/handler's dogs.


Attacking and killing adults and children, the police dog as seen on television and by many South Africans in real life situations, it’s used for crowd control. Purposes by reputation alone, the dog is a formidable opponent.

2. The dog help’s it’s handler perform it’s duty

By using his superior senses, the dog can warn and alert the handler in advance, of any approaching person/vehicle/or unusual noises The dog will smell a person in hiding that is not in plain view and recognize suspicious body language Where the handler is forewarned, he is forearmed

3. The dog provide confidence

The dog gives the handler extra confidence to perform his duties and patrol areas where he may not venture on his own. The dog also keeps the handler company, should the handler fall asleep by accident, the dog will wake him up by barking, to warn him of any approaching danger.

4. The dogs territorial instinct/aggression:

It is advisable that the dog remains at the same site with the same handler if possible, to develop his territorial aggression which occurs in direct response to the instinctive need to defend its own property. (A dog changing sites will not eat for a few days until he has settled in, and therefor loses weight and condition). A handler working with the same dog at the same site, will recognize this dog's reaction, and be able to access the

danger in advance The handler and dog are the first line of defense in protection of the client's property and possessions.
